Serum (preferred) or plasma

Minimum Volume

0.1 mL pediatric (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.)

Container

Red-top tube, gel-barrier tube, or lavender-top (EDTA) tube

Collection

Separate serum or plasma from cells within one hour. Transfer to a plastic transport tube before freezing. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.

Storage Instructions

Freeze; stable for 200 days. Stable at room temperature or refrigerated for 24 hours.
