In 2020, the Company established The Labcorp Charitable Foundation, a private charitable 501(c)3 organization, which supports our strategic mission to improve health and improve lives with contributions focused on health and welfare, education, and community. Labcorp and The Labcorp Charitable Foundation work collaboratively to focus on initiatives that positively impact communities across the globe.
We help fund programs that address the financial and health disparities of the underserved, alleviate
food insecurities, and provide schools in underserved communities with the tools they need for all
students to succeed.
While Labcorp has a long history of providing financial assistance to non-profit organizations, our employees also actively support their local communities. They host collection campaigns and volunteer with local non-profits to help those less fortunate. They participate in walks, rides, runs and virtual events to raise funds to support life-saving research and in finding cures for disease. This culture of giving has not only allowed Labcorp to become partners with the communities we serve, but it creates a more rewarding place to work.
Through the Matching Gift and Volunteer Gift Programs, The Labcorp Foundation matches donations or contributes to qualified organizations important to Labcorp employees.
Each fall, our Company hosts our Employee Giving Campaign, where we support the local efforts of the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Red Cross Disaster Relief, National Urban League and the United Way. These six organizations help lead the way in healthcare research, services to benefit the underserved, equity for all, and provide support for those affected by disaster. Employees are encouraged to participate in activities to learn more about these charities and to become involved in the important work they do.
The Labcorp Charitable Foundation recognizes the importance of supporting local communities where Labcorp operates. Our policy is to maintain a pattern of giving by contributing in the following categories: 1) health and welfare; 2) education; and 3) community. The Foundation invests in organizations that can deliver measurable and sustainable results aimed at improving the health and lives of those who live and work in the communities Labcorp serves around the world particularly with a focus on underserved communities and STEM education.
