Dr Nagy graduated from the Pecs Medical University, Hungary, in 1989. He received his PhD in biochemistry in 1995 from Purdue University. He completed his AP/Molecular genetic pathology residency and postdoctoral fellowship training at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr Nagy is a member of ASCP and CAP and serves as a CAP laboratory inspector.
Dr Nagy is the Chief Medical Officer at Medical Neurogenetics Laboratories, Atlanta, and has been AP/MGP board certified since 2005. Dr Nagy’s research interests are in the development and applications for molecular diagnostics with special emphasis on genomics and transcriptomics. He has authored more than 30 articles published in such journals as Cell, Molecular Cell, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
In addition to medicine, Dr Nagy enjoys swimming, scuba diving, and archeogenetics.
