Zahra Shajani-Yi, PhD, DABCC

Dr Shajani-Yi earned her PhD from the University of Washington and completed her clinical chemistry fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry (DABCC), a fellow of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry Academy (FAACC), and board-certified by the National Registry of Certified Chemists (NRCC). Prior to joining Labcorp, she was an assistant professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Medical Director of Esoteric Chemistry.

Russell Phillip Grant, PhD

Dr. Grant earned a PhD in chromatographic and mass spectrometric technologies from the University of Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom. He continued his scientific training in various industrial settings, which have included senior scientist at GSK, principal scientist at Cohesive Technologies, technical director at Eli Lilly, and director of mass spectrometry at Esoterix Endocrinology.

Kelly Y. Chun, PhD

Dr Kelly Chun is vice president and scientific director of Esoterix/Endocrine Sciences, a Labcorp specialty laboratory. With over 20 years of protein science and assay development experience, Dr Chun oversees a complex, high-throughput endocrine reference laboratory while leading research and development activities.

André Valcour, PhD, MBA, DABCC

Dr. Valcour serves as either national discipline director of the following Labcorp clinical specialties: endocrinology, allergy, hemostasis/thrombosis and automated immunoassay.

Alex Katayev, MD

Dr Katayev earned his medical degree at the Leningrad Institute of Medicine and Hygiene, Leningrad, Russia. He completed his residency in dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases at Svetogorsk Regional Hospital, Leningrad, Russia in 1983. He completed his residency in Dermatology and Sexually transmitted Diseases at Leningrad Regional Hospital. Dr Katayev joined Labcorp in 1994, moved to Science & Technology in 2007 and serves as Labcorp’s director of clinical science assessment in the Department of Science and Technology.
