• Premature (26 to 28 weeks): day 4: 10−670 ng/dL

• Premature (31 to 35 weeks): day 4: 57−410 ng/dL

• Full-term (31 days to 11 months): 5−220 ng/dL

• 12 to 23 months: 18−155 ng/dL

• 24 months to 9 years: 6−85 ng/dL

• 10 to 14 years: 10−72 ng/dL

• Adults: 9−58 ng/dL

• 8 AM supine upright: 5−46 ng/dL

Gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, or green-top (heparin) tube

Collection

Separate serum or plasma from cells within 45 minutes of collection. Send serum in a plastic transport tube. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
