Liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) after chromatography and solvent extraction

Specimen Requirements


Serum (preferred) or plasma, frozen


0.5 mL (each specimen)

Minimum Volume

0.2 mL (each specimen) (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.)


Red-top tube, gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, or green-top (heparin) tube


Transfer serum into a frozen lavender transport tube with cap (LabCorp ID 9566589372). The specimen should be frozen immediately and maintained frozen until tested. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
