Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma Profile, FISH
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for aggressive B‐cell lymphoma, targeting rearrangement of BCL2, BCL6, and MYC
Diagnostic test for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). Detects primary genetic changes associated with various types of NHL, including follicular lymphoma (FL), Burkitt's lymphoma (BL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and those with BCL6 rearrangement.
Molecular mutations below the resolution of FISH will not be detected.
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
Blood, bone marrow, slides, paraffin block, lymph node, or touch preps
7 mL blood (adult), 1-3 mL bone marrow, five slides from cytogenetic analysis or seven slides from paraffin block, one tube fixed pellet, 4 touch prep slides
1 mL blood, 1 mL bone marrow, and four- to five-micron FFPE slides, 5 touch prep slides
Maintain specimens at room temperature.
Causes for Rejection
Broken Vacutainer®; broken slides
Indicate the pertinent clinical diagnosis and previous cytogenetic studies on the test request form. Note: This test number is used for tracking FISH specimens to the laboratory.
