Labcorp's integration solutions provide connectivity between disparate systems to facilitate productivity and performance. These solutions simplify data management through reduction or elimination of manual and/or paper-driven processes.

Electronic Data Interface (EDI) Result Delivery

EDI delivery of results provides clients with electronic transfer of laboratory result data. Clients may choose to either retrieve or have Labcorp send data files into a designated system.

Features

  • Two delivery options available:
    • Secure Website – hosted by Labcorp
    • Direct-send - Labcorp initiates file transfer
  • Data file can be sent to the client via the internet; supported protocols include FTP, FTP via SSH, and FTP via SSL
  • Client-defined file delivery frequency
  • Specimen data files are archived for three years and can be retransmitted upon request

  • Increased efficiency through paperless result reporting

Requirements

  • Client Information Technology programmer resources
  • Client destination system for data import
  • Trading partner needs a PC with internet connectivity and a web browser which supports SSL encryption (not compatible with Firefox)

If direct-send method is selected

  • Client-maintained FTP server with FTP software
  • Optional secure protocols:
    • SSH
    • SSL

If secure protocols are not used, data files must be encrypted

  • S/MIME Security Certificate or PGP Public Key
  • Decryption software

Secure website is selected

  • A website which uses HTTPS with SSL encryption and utilizes an interface resembling an FTP client

Electronic Data Interface (EDI) "At Lab" Notification

EDI "At Lab" Notification provides clients with an electronically-transmitted data file containing summary data for specimens that have arrived at the testing laboratory.

  • Data file customized with client-designated accounts and/or contracts
  • Two delivery options available:
    • Email
    • Direct-send - Labcorp initiates file transfer
  • Client-defined file delivery frequency

  • Reduces the time spent contacting the laboratory for specimen status

  • Client-maintained destination system for data import

If email method is selected:

  • Client must provide a valid email address

Electronic Billing

Electronic billing is a secure, web-based application that provides retrieval access to client invoices that are formatted in customizable Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Excel files may be viewed, modified, printed, and/or saved.

Features

  • Login, password protected access to invoices
  • Email notification of available invoices
  • Email hyperlink to client’s private mailbox located on Labcorp’s website
  • Excel spreadsheets that may be printed and/or downloaded to client’s system
  • Excel spreadsheet contains detailed account, donor, specimen, and pricing information needed to facilitate the accounts payable process
  • Excel spreadsheet can be customized to include data not available on paper invoices
