Find Out If You Have COVID-19: Swab Test

LabCorp currently offers two ways for individuals to be tested to determine if they are infected with the coronavirus.

Get Tested Through Your Healthcare Provider

If you feel like you are infected with the coronavirus, you should call your doctor or other healthcare provider and they may order a test.

You should be considered for testing if you have COVID-19 symptoms, have come into contact with someone who you know is infected by the coronavirus or meet criteria established by the CDC.

How is this test administered?

A sample is taken by a doctor or other healthcare provider from the nose or throat using a swab.

Where are samples collected?

At a hospital or healthcare provider’s office or a healthcare provider-designated site (drive-thru and pharmacy).

How long does it take to get results?

As of August 26, 2020, the current average time to deliver results for the COVID-19 swab test is 1-2 days from the date of specimen pickup. Results are delivered to your doctor and online at: LabCorp Patient™.
