| Collection | | Collect whole blood in PPT™, gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, or yellow-top (ACD) tube. Do not use green-top (heparin) tubes. Centrifuge specimen within 6 hours of collection, remove serum/plasma, and transfer to a polypropylene screw-cap tube, and freeze. Specimens drawn into PPT™ need to be centrifuged within 6 hours and frozen. Ship frozen. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested. |
