Introduction to Mass Spectrometry

Timothy Fassette, Field Applications Scientist with Phenomenex will provide an overview of the fundamental principles of mass spectrometry. This webinar will introduce the various types of mass spectrometry instruments commonly used in the analytical laboratory and explain their applications. Participants will also learn the difference between nominal mass and exact mass, including which instruments are best suited for each type of analysis. The session will conclude with a discussion of mass resolution and its critical role in accurate mass spectral analysis.
