In 2022, Labcorp purchased select assets of Ascension’s outreach laboratory business. As part of the acquisition, Labcorp also manages the health system’s hospital-based laboratories through a long-term agreement to provide staffing, leadership, scientific knowledge, analytics, supply chain services and laboratory support in 10 states including Oklahoma. 

Since the close of the transaction, Labcorp Oklahoma, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Labcorp, has been operating the former Regional Medical Laboratory (RML) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, acquired as part of the acquisition.
