New facility strengthens diagnostic capabilities, enhances operational efficiency and supports broader patient access
BURLINGTON, N.C., (May 28, 2025) — Labcorp (NYSE: LH), a global leader of innovative and comprehensive laboratory services, announced today the opening of a new diagnostics laboratory in Chantilly, Virginia. The new facility is now Labcorp’s largest regional diagnostics branch, supporting more than 200 employees and receiving over 26,000 patient specimens each day.
“This new diagnostics lab reinforces Labcorp’s role as a trusted healthcare partner in the Atlantic region and beyond,” said Serena Guzman, senior vice president of Labcorp’s Atlantic Division. “As Labcorp’s largest regional diagnostics branch, the lab expands the reach of essential testing, enabling communities across the region to benefit from industry-leading laboratory services.”
The 45,000-square-foot facility supports expanded services, including histology and cytology, and contains modern workspaces designed to streamline operations, improve efficiency and encourage collaboration. The new facility replaces Labcorp’s former lab in Herndon, Virginia.

In addition to the Chantilly lab, Labcorp also operates a network of more than 125 patient service centers (PSCs) across Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. and maintains collaborations with leading large and regional health systems and federally qualified health centers, providing patients with access to essential testing and high-quality diagnostics across the region.
