Priscilla Fernandes, PhD, FACMG is a board-certified clinical molecular geneticist with over 16 years of operational and laboratory leadership experience in clinical diagnostics, with a focus on reproductive genetics and cancer genetics (germline and somatic).
Dr. Fernandes earned her PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics from Oregon Health & Science University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship training in Clinical Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (DABMGG).
Prior to joining Labcorp, Dr. Fernandes held senior laboratory leadership and operational roles at BioReference Health, Progenity, and Myriad Genetic Laboratories. She played a pivotal role in the successful launch and scale-up of BioReference Health’s first noninvasive prenatal screening laboratory-developed test.
Dr. Fernandes has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and is an active member of the ClinGen Dosage Sensitivity Gene Curation Expert Panel.
