She received a doctorate in Pathology and Immunology from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Management from LeBow College of Business, Drexel University. She has published more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and holds 11 patents to date. Before joining Labcorp, she worked at Janssen R&D discovering therapeutics for atherosclerosis, diabetes and obesity. Dr. Connelly has spent the last 13 years applying her scientific expertise and leadership experience toward the development and clinical validation of new nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy-based tests for various diseases including cardiovascular disease, chronic inflammatory diseases and metabolic disorders as well as liver diseases such as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and alcoholic liver disease (ALD).
