Kristin Gibson

Lab Director

Dr. Kristin Gibson, PhD, FACMG, is board-certified in clinical molecular genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. She completed her graduate studies in genetics and genomics at Duke University, where she established an exome sequencing analysis pipeline to identify mutations that cause limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. She was part of the team that developed and launched the clinical exome sequencing test at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia while she completed her clinical molecular genetics fellowship. Dr. Gibson joined Invitae in 2015 and is part of the Laboratory Director team at Labcorp Genetics. In addition to support for day-to-day testing, test validation, and process improvements, she provides operational, regulatory, and quality expertise to the laboratory.
