Dr. Jerome T. O’Connell is a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist with over 25 years of professional experience. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University and completed his pathology training at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During his training, he participated in numerous research projects including several that resulted in peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. O’Connell holds active medical licenses in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Over the last 25 years, he has practiced pathology in a variety of clinical settings within Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. In addition to his expertise in general surgical pathology, he has extensive experience in gastrointestinal, genitourinary and gynecologic pathology. He currently serves as the medical director for Labcorp’s new anatomic pathology laboratory in Chantilly, Virginia.
