Dr. Sanmann is dual board-certified in Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and is also a fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. She completed her Ph.D. and clinical fellowships in both cytogenetics and molecular genetics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Before joining Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae) in 2021, Dr. Sanmann held the position of Associate Professor at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at UNMC, where she maintains an adjunct faculty role.
Dr. Sanmann has co-authored more than 80 articles and abstracts. In addition, she is an active member of the genetics community, serving on various professional committees. Her most recent involvement includes the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Cytogenetics Steering Committee (since 2019), the Association for Molecular Pathology Economic Affairs Committee (2021-2026), and the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) Laboratory Quality Assurance Committee (2021-2025).
