Eric T. Weimer, PhD, is Technical Director I and HLA Laboratory Director in the DNA Identification Testing Division at Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings. He earned his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a Clinical Immunology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hospitals.
Dr. Weimer is board‑certified by the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology. His areas of expertise include clinical immunology, molecular diagnostics, next‑generation sequencing for HLA typing, transplant immunology, and machine‑learning.
