At the North Carolina Biotechnology Center’s 2026 annual Triad BioNight, Dr. Brian Caveney, Labcorp’s chief medical and scientific officer, highlighted how Labcorp is leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance clinical decision-making and accelerate scientific discovery. He noted that AI helps clinicians navigate Labcorp’s extensive menu of more than 7,000 diagnostic tests, enabling faster, more informed test selection and interpretation, ultimately improving efficiency and patient experience. Caveney also emphasized AI’s role in advancing research, including a collaboration with Amazon Web Services on an Alzheimer’s real-world data platform designed to uncover insights across diverse datasets.
