Dr. Conklin-López is a board-certified clinical chemist at Labcorp where he serves as Technical Director for the Special Chemistry Department and the Toxicology, Clinical Mass Spectrometry and Biological Monitoring Department at the Labcorp Center for Esoteric Testing (CET). He also serves as Co-Discipline Director of the Special Chemistry and Clinical Toxicology program at Labcorp.
He obtained his BS in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras Campus and pursued his PhD in Chemistry at Duke University. Following his PhD, he completed a Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Labcorp in February 2024, Dr. Conklin-López worked at Tufts Medical Center, where he served as Assistant Professor, Medical Director of Clinical Chemistry and Point-of-Care Testing, Director of Mass Spectrometry, and Medical Director of Biorepository. He also served as the Program Chair (2022) and subsequently Chair (2023) of the AACC Northeast Section during that time. He currently serves as committee member of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) Society of Young Clinical Laboratorians (SYCL).
