Rhea Behlmann, PhD, FACMG, is a clinical genetics laboratory director with more than a decade of experience in genetic diagnostics. She currently serves as a Laboratory Director at Labcorp Genetics. Dr. Behlmann earned her PhD in Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis and completed a Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship at Emory University. She is board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics.
In her current role, Dr. Behlmann provides technical and scientific leadership across laboratory functions. Her responsibilities include ensuring test accuracy and clinical validity, directing quality assurance and proficiency testing projects, leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives, contributing to the interpretation and sign-out of laboratory results, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
