Executive level scientific leader with expertise in cardiovascular, metabolic, liver and chronic inflammatory diseases. Wide-ranging laboratory, managerial, strategic leadership experience including championing projects, managing scientists and leading cross-functional teams of senior business and scientific leaders. Broader pharmaceutical and diagnostic responsibilities: coordination of and participation in advisory board meetings and leading efforts to identify and develop biomarkers for personalized medicine, including companion diagnostics. Established long standing collaborative relationships with academic labs, clinical research institutions and pharmaceutical companies to expand research capabilities and product pipelines as well as establish clinical validation for therapeutic agents and diagnostic tests. 

Experienced at:
1) fostering research and development of new products, 
2) translating biomarkers and products from preclinical and early development through late-stage development and commercialization, 
3) medical affairs, 
4) in- and out-licensing of products, 
5) people and revenue management, and 
6) clinical laboratory oversight including regulatory oversight and quality assurance. Subject matter expert for cardiometabolic diseases (CVM).
