Dr. Li is board certified in anatomic pathology. He earned his medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in Guangzhou, China, and his PhD in biological chemistry from the University of Michigan. He completed his residency in anatomic pathology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and fellowships in oncologic pathology and experimental pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he worked with Dr. Juan Rosai. Dr. Li currently holds an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as a clinical associate professor of pathology. He specializes in surgical pathology of tumors of the kidney, testis, prostate, bladder, colon, breast, pancreas, and endocrine organs such as thyroid and adrenal glands. Dr. Li has authored more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
