Dr. Gu is board certified in clinical cytogenetics and in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG). He earned his medical degree and completed a residency in anatomic pathology from the Fourth Military Medical University (Medicine), China. Dr. Gu completed a fellowship (Research) in urological surgery at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN and in clinical cytogenetics at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. In addition to authoring a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts, Dr. Gu has given poster and oral presentations at multiple national meetings as well as co-authoring several textbook chapters. He is a member of the College of American Pathologists and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics.
