Dr. Changjun Yue is board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology and Molecular Genetic Pathology. He earned his medical degree from Second Military Medical University in Shanghai and his PhD in Molecular Pharmacology & Toxicology from the University of Southern California. Dr. Yue completed his pathology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and hematopathology fellowship in UCLA Medical Center. He also had a lymphoma fellowship with Dr. Elaine Jaffe in NCI. Dr. Yue has worked as a Global Medical Director for LA, GVA and APAC and senior hematopathologist, surgical pathologist as well as molecular genetic pathologist in LabCorp Drug Development since 2015. Now he is a Regional Medical Director for Medical Affairs teams in LA and China. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented them at numerous international conferences. He also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Acts as Principal Investigator on more than 100 clinical trials (including about 70 CDx studies), including cancer immunotherapy trials, ensuring adherence to proper protocols and regulatory requirements

• Acted as Global Medical Director for Medical Affair teams in Los Angeles, Singapore, Japan, Geneva and Shanghai; now supervise Medical Affair teams in Los Angeles and China. 

• Acts as Lab Director for a professional Clinical Trial Lab, supervising its operation, which became the first lab to offer PDL-1 evaluation and Complete Pathological Response evaluation services in the world.  

• Chairing Central Pathology Adjudication Committee (CPAC) for some oncology trails

• Interacts with global clinical, scientific and marketing teams, providing a bridge between clinical lab and other development teams and medical expertise to the commercial product development teams

• Assists with validation design and approval

• Responds to client inquiries that require pathologist’s input 

• Provides consultation to client’s protocol design in lab services

• More than 17 years of practicing experience as a board certified senior hematopathologist, molecular genetic pathologist and surgical pathologist
