Brian Rappold focuses on developing and validating mass spectrometry assays for high-throughput and high quality clinical diagnostics covering metabolites, endocrine dysfunction, and inborn errors of metabolism. His technical proficiency includes liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC), and methodology troubleshooting.
Brian has provided guidance to the industry internationally, drafting multiple textbook chapters and serving as Vice-Chair for the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute's guidance document for Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (C62-Ed3).
