Healthy mom, healthy baby: the key to understanding testing while you are expecting.

Supporting Moms

Staying healthy as a mom is key to having a healthy baby.

It’s a fact—getting early, and regular, prenatal care improves the chances of a healthy pregnancy. Laboratory testing is an important part of your prenatal care, and helps your doctor make sure you are healthy at this important time.

Testing While Expecting

Blood and urine samples will be needed to support your first doctor’s appointment. In normal times, your blood would be collected in your doctor’s office or at a Labcorp Patient Service Center. We have special provisions for sample collection in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Samples will also be collected on later visits for testing as part of routine prenatal care.
