Turnaround time is defined as the usual number of days from the date of pickup of a specimen for testing to when the result is released to the ordering provider. In some cases, additional time should be allowed for additional confirmatory or additional reflex tests. Testing schedules may vary.

Lavender-top (EDTA) tube or 4 buccal swabs in a sealed envelope (buccal swab kit). If submitting buccal swabs, please use the kit provided by LabCorp. To obtain the buccal swab kit or to discuss other specimen types, please telephone 800-533-1037.

Clotted or hemolyzed blood; insufficient DNA obtained from buccal swabs
Test Details
Use
DQA1 and DQB1 antigens may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. This test is not to be used for celiac or narcolepsy testing. Please order the appropriate tests for those indications.
Limitations
Even with appropriate precautions, an occasional specimen may not be satisfactory for testing. In such cases, fresh specimens should be collected for retesting.
