HLA A antigens may be correlated with certain disease states or other clinical conditions. Indicate in clinical information which antigen(s) is of interest. Also used for screening of transplant candidates and potential donors, transfusion of specifically compatible blood products, among others.
This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined, by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Sequence-based typing (SBT), sequence-specific oligonucleotide probes (SSOP), and/or sequence-specific primers (SSP) as needed to obtain the required resolution.
