Test Details

Use

Monitor the level of donor CD33/CD66b cells in the recipient (patient-host) of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Polymorphic loci determined in the preëngraftment testing are used as a reference for the evaluation.

Limitations

This test was developed, and its performance characteristics determined, by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Methodology

Antibody-mediated positive selection of CD33/CD66 cells and separation with magnetic nanoparticles. DNA analysis by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of short tandem repeats (STR)
