We understand that during this unprecedented time, you may have questions related to how Labcorp and Covance are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. Since the emergence of COVID-19, a new strain of coronavirus, we have been working across the diagnostics and drug development businesses to address and combat its global spread, in keeping with our mission to improve health and improve lives. We are uniquely positioned to serve people in the U.S. by providing coronavirus testing at scale through our diagnostics business, while we are working globally with biopharmaceutical companies to support their efforts to develop a treatment through our drug development business, Covance. We are committed to maintaining the health and safety of job candidates and our employees across the Labcorp enterprise. To protect our employees and members of our local communities, we are following COVID-19 healthcare guidelines by practicing “social distancing,” which means we are now conducting the vast majority of our interviews using phone and video conferencing. There are a limited number of roles and regions in which live interviews remain in place. Strict social distancing protocols will be followed during in-person interviews. These measures mean we will ask you to remain at least six feet away from any other persons, not shake hands or make any contact with other persons.
To ensure the health of our patients, employees, and the broader community, we are not allowing non-essential personnel, including applicants and those from external organizations, customers and vendors to visit our facilities at this time. We are confident that effective interviews can be accommodated via video-enabled solutions. We encourage you to ask additional questions during your interview regarding the team, culture and work environment to ensure you are able to make a confident decision.
