Dr. Zhang is board certified in clinical cytogenetics (ABMGG) and Molecular Diagnostics (ABB). She earned a PhD in pathology/cytogenetics from McGill University, Canada and a medical degree from Hunan Medical University, China. She completed a fellowship in clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina. Dr. Zhang has co-authored more than 30 articles and abstracts that have appeared in peer-reviewed publications and presented at national meetings. She holds memberships with the American Board of Medical Genetics and Association for Molecular Pathology, is an inspector and team leader for the College of American Pathologists, and is an invited idem writer for genetics specialty examination, American Board of Medical Genetics and American Board of Bioanalysis.
