Storage Instructions
Plasma may be stored for up to 8 days when refrigerated or frozen. Whole blood may be stored for up to 72 hours when refrigerated.
Causes for Rejection
Gross hemolysis; specimen received outside of specimen and/or storage requirements
Use
Donor screening and detection of West Nile virus RNA in plasma specimens for human donors. This test is not intended for use as an aid in diagnosis
