| Additional Information | | Antibody response is highly variable with respect to cyst location and individual response. If a current infection is suspected, it is suggested that a convalescent serum sample be submitted in 3-5 weeks. All positive serology samples should be confirmed using a more specific test method (CDC) due to cross-reactivity with Taenia solium (cysticercosis). |
