Netscape 4.x for Windows or Mac:
1. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences
2. Click the Advanced category on the left side
3. Both "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" should be checked
Internet Explorer 5.0 for Windows:
1. Click "Tools" on the menu bar, and choose "Internet Options."
2. Click on the Security tab.
3. For the Internet zone, be sure that the Security level is set to
Medium or below.
4. If you have chosen to customize your security settings for the
Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set on "Disable
Java." You will want to select one of the three safety levels instead.
5. Also be sure that under the Scripting heading, "Scripting of Java
Applets" is set to Enable or Prompt.
Internet Explorer 4.x for Windows:
1. Click the View menu and choose Internet Options
2. Click the Security tab
3. For the Internet Zone, select Custom and click on Settings
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Custom Settings list
5. Under scripting, set "Active scripting" and "Scripting of Java
Applets" to either Enable or Prompt
Internet Explorer 4.x for Macs:
1. Click the Edit menu and choose Preferences
2. Click the Java bullet within the Web Browser section
3. Make sure that the "Enable Java" checkbox is checked
Note: If you have problems after taking all of the steps above, you may
need to upgrade your current web browser, or switch to a
different one. The On-line Patient Service Center requires a minimum browser level of Netscape 4.0 or
Internet Explorer 4.0. Both are available as
free downloads on the Web.
